Neighborhood Watch

If you see suspicious activity in Lumsden Pointe, call Hillsborough County Sheriff non-emergency # 247-8000.

Report All Crime in progress to 911, then notify the Board. After the fact reporting should be reported to the Sheriff at 247-8000.

Parking is becoming a problem. Please use your garage and driveways as much as possible. It is very difficult to get through on some streets due to adjacent side parking. We need to allow room for emergency vehicles, which are much larger than our cars.

Crimes of opportunity are occurring a lot more frequently, even in broad daylight. Please be on the look out for unfamiliar vehicles and people walking around the community. If you suspect they are casing the neighborhood, please call the Sheriff at 247-8000 and they will send a deputy to check them out.

Neighborhood Watch Update Our neighborhood watch program needs your help. As the name implies, we are neighbors watching out for our neighborhood. As neighborhood watch volunteers, we act as another set of eyes and ears for the Hillsborough Sheriffs Department. More importantly we act as a voice for the residents of Lumsden Pointe. There are three ways to participate, vehicle patrol, walking, or looking out of your window when you hear something suspicious. Vehicle patrol is the most visible deterrent. If the criminal element sees a vehicle with a "Neighborhood Watch", magnet, they will take advantage of our round-a-bout and leave the same way they entered. Walking patrol allows you the opportunity to not only loose weight, but also to see and hear what is happening on our streets. Looking out your window does not make you a nosy neighbor. Your seeing something or someone suspicious could prevent not only property damage, but also save someones life.
